What do The Bay Area Video Coalition, The Museum of Modern Art, and the pioneering video artists Steina and Woody Vasulka have in common? They are all members of IMAP.

Membership in IMAP is affordable and easy. Individuals and nonprofit organizations can join IMAP for a nominal fee. Benefits of membership include reduced fees to IMAP programs and a live web link on the IMAP web site for organizational and professional affiliate members.

Joining IMAP adds your name to the groundswell of support for the emerging field of electronic media preservation. IMAP provides the preservation information, education, training, and advocacy that artists and organizations need in order to save valuable media collections. There are four categories of membership, some with a sliding scale fee based on budget.

Membership Fees:

Professional Affiliate	$100
Nonprofit Organization (Budget up to $500K)	$125
Nonprofit Organization (Budget from $501K—1 million)	$200
Nonprofit Organization (Budget over $1 million)	$250
Corporate (Budget under $1 million)	$500
Corporate (Budget over $1 million)	$1000

Membership Benefits (Annual):

Individual - discounts on IMAP public programs and special members' announcements.

Professional Affiliate - same as Individual plus a link on the IMAP Resource page. Membership category for individual consultants and others who want a link to their website and contact information listed on IMAP Resource Page.

Nonprofit Organization - same as Individual plus a link to the organization's web site on Members' page. Membership would be extended to two people within the organization.

Corporate - link to the corporate member's web site; corporate logo placed on IMAP's site.

INSTRUCTIONS TO JOIN IMAP LISTSERV

IMAP offers a free list-serve (email-based, online discussion forum) for anyone in the community to join.

TO SUBSCRIBE:
Send the message "Subscribe IMAP your name" to listproc@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu. There should be no punctuation and no other words (including auto signatures) in the body of the message. Example: Subscribe IMAP Jane Doe

TO POST MESSAGES:
Send your message to IMAP@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu.

TO RESPOND TO A MESSAGE:
1) If you want the message to go to the ENTIRE LIST, use the REPLY function.

2) If you want the message only to go to one person, you must type their email address into the address line. You can find the individual's email address in the "From:" line. Only that one person will get the message.
